Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1996 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is an Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are among her most renowned covers. Katy Perry's praise for her song Runaway in a blog entry brought the singer additional praise. Honor her day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering an attic piano and being fascinated by the sound it could produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music. It was not for the purpose of a career or as a hobby, but rather as a way to improve. The singer began to write songs of her own. Alongside Bjork and Bjork, she also credits Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother had told her that her songs could aid in her gaining not only fame but also help everyone else see their value on the planet and realise the possibilities for them, she decided to begin performing publicly. The piano was first played by her when she was only six and started writing songs when she was nine. Her family didn't know about it until she reached 14. Aurora is not something she set out to achieve. The singer says that she simply likes to compose songs. Music is for her the best method to express anything.
